Sweet and Sour Chilli Sauce

This versatile dipping sauce can go well with your spring rolls, chips and use as dipping for your vegetable of your choice. I used it for the veggie rice wrap which was a big hit to my friends. You can make, store and use for up to 1 weeks which can be handy for for any flavoring to your daily dinner or snack table.
Ingredients
For the Bread
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup rice or wine vinegar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp minced fresh ginger root
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp ketchup (1 tsp)
- 2 tsp cornstarch
how to
1. Pour water and vinegar into a saucepan, and bring to a boil over high heat.
2. Stir in sugar, ginger, garlic, chile pepper, and ketchup; simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Stir in cornstarch. Remove saucepan from stove to cool.
4. Then transfer to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate until needed.
tips
- Use more or less chilli accordingly
