“2 greatest fish loving nations on earth”
Our love of fresh fish in Japan is the greatest in the world. Not just fresh, it has to be super fresh to be able to eat raw as Sashimi or Sushi. Now that these cuisine is well known and widely appreciate here in Europe, I think we are turning into a healthy bunch in UK. Especially if you are live around London, you can buy those fresh fish for Sashimi or Sushi from many shops. We usually go to Atari-ya in Acton but there are many other shops that sell them.
Having a TV on while tidying my kitchen and waiting for kids to fall asleep upstairs, Rick Stein’s Long Weekend on BBC2 came on and the topic was Spanish Food!!! We have many very special spanish friends here and we are exposed to their wonderfully colourful food, we are lucky to be able to try some of their tasty cooking. As Rick being a king of seafood chef, and knowing how good the seafood is in Spain, this is a program that I was going to enjoy and will be watching on iPlayer again.
Rick has introduced on the program a restaurant selling Tuna Sashimi in Spain. And observing my experience of Spanish food from our friends and learning about their food in media, I think Spain and Japan are the “2 greatest fish loving nation on earth” as Rick quoted on the program. So I must consider Spain for our friend who would share the love of fish happily together.
Snail? Do they eat snails? I thought that was only enjoyed in France… no thanks for that but everything else I saw on the program, I need to try. I think we finally need to start planning for a trip to Spain.
