Crab meat salad with Cucumber and Radish

Great way to create one more dish on your dinner table. Using a well known Japanese dressing, which has vinegar with sweetness and saltiness, called Sanbai-zu 三杯酢 (vinegar x 3), you can add a kick to your plate (in a nice way of course). 

Ingredients

Serves 4

Some crab meat
Cucumber (about 3 cm of whole cucumber thinly sliced)
Red Radish (about 3 thinly sliced)

For Dressing
1 teaspoon of vinegar (Preferably Japanese rice vinegar)
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
*You can adjust the amount according to your taste. 

how to

Basically, it is as easy as chop and mix so there is nothing complicated. 

  1. Slice cucumber and radish thinly. Add 1/3 teaspoon of salt and mix. 
  2. Set aside while making your dressing by mixing all the sauce ingredients. 
  3. Squeeze any excess water from the vegetable and mix the dressing. 

tips

  • Use half teaspoon of sugar if you cannot find mirin, the Japanese sweet rice wine. 
  • This is for a small portion for an extra side dish.
