Malta, the Delicious Island!

Oh MALTA!

Our trip to Malta in late October 2017 was simply a wonderful one. Never expecting it to be so warm in late October, we managed to get some colours on our skins. The beautiful sky and ocean simply coloured our memories with dark blue colours of the ocean and the sky with fresh breeze without any effort.

The food was also spectacular, with gorgeous seafood, seasoned with mixed food culture from surrounding countries and it’s deep culture. Understandably, its food has the most influence from southern Italian root we saw many restaurants proudly stating “Sicilian Restaurant” which we enjoyed very much. We did not miss our food at all during our 5-day-holiday.

As the sea and pool water were not warm enough to dip into, we only played on the shores. We will have to plan another trip to Malta when it’s a little warmer.

Must DO and TRY

Open top tour buses are available for tourists and they are available from everywhere! As the island being small and filled with exciting things to see and do, we highly recommend to pop on to one of those buses and decide which bit you like to spend more time on.

The Barracuda Restaurant in Sliema is the one we recommend for the final night to celebrate your stay in Malta. The food was divine, and my children were saying the best food ever. Next time I go, I must remember to speak to the chef and ask if he was trained in Japan or have some influence from Japanese cooking? As many of the seafood dishes had some oriental flavours which we loved.   The price might be a little more than you would like to spend in Malta but the satisfaction is 100% and we’d definitely go back there on our next visit to Malta!
